Fos Cavaou : open subscription period 2022-2024

Elengy and its subsidiary Fosmax LNG wish to offer additional access capacity by technical debottlenecking of the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal for the years 2022 to 2024 (“OSP Fos Cavaou 2021”):

  • +11 000 GWh in 2022, and
  • +13 000 GWh in 2023, and
  • +30 000 GWh in 2024 *.

The overall regasification capacity of the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal would then be increased to 10 Bcm/y or 117 TWh/y.
*which includes 13 TWh per year of primary capacity already existing.

These new capacities would be proposed as per current regulated tariff, in accordance with Public Decision from CRE dated 07 January 2021 (ATM6 tariff):

A mid-term review of this tariff will be applied from 1 April 2023 (ATM6bis tariff), in accordance with the provisions in force. The revised tariff will be lower than the current tariff in view of the rules defined in the ATM6 tariff Public Decision.

The launch of this commercial procedure is subject to validation by CRE.

In addition, the binding phase of the “Open Season Fos Cavaou 2021” for additional access capacities from 2025 should take place by the end of the second quarter of this year.
As a reminder, the non-binding phase of the "Open Season Fos Cavaou 2021", a call for subscription of regasification capacities at this LNG terminal with a view to increasing the site's commercial capacity and extending its activity until 2045 and beyond, successfully concluded in 2021.
