After carrying out the first tests with its customers, Elengy is launching a new offer : biomethane liquefaction by equivalence – a service for loading bioLNG into tankers and micro-LNG carriers – at its terminals in Fos-sur-Mer and Montoir-de-Bretagne.

Committed to the energy transition, SPSE, a player in the long-distance transport and storage of liquid hydrocarbons, and Elengy, the incumbent operator of LNG terminals in France, launched a call for tenders last June with a view to developing a network of CO₂ transport infrastructures linking industrial sites in the Rhône valley to a liquefaction and export terminal at Fos-sur-Mer. This infrastructure network is designed for geological sequestration and CO₂ recovery. 

Nelly Nicoli, CEO at Elengy, an expert in liquefied natural gas (LNG) and pioneer operator of LNG terminals in France, presented the Medhyterra project, its objectives and challenges on Tuesday 24 September 2024 in Fos-sur-Mer.
