As part of their commitment to the energy transition, GRTgaz, France's main gas transmission operator, and Elengy, the incumbent operator of LNG terminals in France, launched their call for expressions of interest in March with a view to developing, respectively, a CO2 transmission network covering several departments (Ille-et-Vilaine, Mayenne, Loire-Atlantique, Vendée, Deux-Sèvres) and a CO2 liquefaction and export terminal at the Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG terminal.

Elengy, an expert in liquefied natural gas (LNG) and a pioneering operator of LNG terminals in France, has voluntarily engaged with the National Commission for Public Debate (CNDP) to conduct preliminary consultations – as required by current regulations – regarding its low-carbon ammonia import terminal project at its Fos Tonkin site, which will be partially redeveloped to accommodate this new infrastructure.

Fabien Poure, CEO of SPSE, and Nelly Nicoli, CEO of Elengy, announce the joint launch of a Call for Expressions of Interest (AMI "Rhône CO2") to develop a network of CO₂ transport infrastructures, linking industrial sites in the Rhône valley to a liquefaction and export terminal at Fos-sur-Mer.
