12/08/2016 - The sportswoman Hélène Defrance, Elengy supported by Elengy since 2015, is in Brazil in the framework of the sailing events. Today runs his second race! Elengy accompanies her in her preparation, selection and now her medal quest.

As part of the Sustainable Development Week from May 30th to June 5th, Elengy has organized several events on its sites with partner associations.

The launch of this event, organized by the FACE Loire Atlantique association – Fondation Agir Contre l’Exclusion – took place on April 28th at the Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG terminal.

Elengy, as member of the organization committee, will participate to the 18th Liquefied Natural Gas at Perth – Australia.

This 18th edition will focus on “Redrawing the Global Map of Gas”.

Elengy will return on its 50 years of LNG experience though technical and commercial innovations.

The selection committee of the French Sailing Federation announced the selection of Hélène Defrance, sponsored by Elengy since 2015, and her teammate Camille Lecointre at the 2016 Rio Olympics Games in the 470 sailing category. The selection follows the victory at the World Championships last February 27th where the duo won the gold medal.

Their goals: get their selection in the women's 470 crew sailing and win a gold medal at Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

For the 50 years of the LNG terminals, the collaborators of all Elengy sites joined at Fos Cavaou.

Passionate about sailing since her childhood, french sailor Hélène Defrance reached the world's top in 2009, making a name for herself in this highly competitive sport. Competing today with her team mate Camille Lecointre, she aims to earn her selection and a medal for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

2015 is a historic year for Elengy, which celebrates its 50th anniversary: on March 28, 1965, the Jules Verne was unloading her LNG cargo at Le Havre, in the first French LNG terminal, opening the LNG operation channel in France and Europe.

On the 13th of January, Elengy's Montoir terminal completed its 500th LNG truck loading, after a record December with 51 loadings which supplied 15 different industrial plants.

Elengy participates in a round table "LNG: a key solution for marine fuel?" on December 3rd at the 10th assises de l'économie de la merin Nantes.


On May 7th and 8th, Elengy is present at the Morocco Oil & Gas Summit 2014.
An expert on international projects will speak on challenges and opportunities for LNG Import Terminals - The 50-year experience of Elengy applicable to Morocco.

On March 25th 2014, Elengy will talk about his expertise in inner repair of metallic tanks in cryogenic atmosphere. The presentation will take place within technical workshops of the conference.
